Um lugar de iluminação

Em Baturité (CE) fica o mosteiro dos jesuítas, uma construção de pedras e barro do século 19. A obra, no entanto, nunca foi concluída. Pelo projeto original, ela deveria ter o dobro do tamanho. A capela do mosteiro é dedicada ao Sagrado Coração de Jesus. A estátua de três metros no altar foi trazida da Espanha. A capela também ostenta uma ilustração da travessia dos jesuítas de Portugal ao Brasil.


A place of enlightenment

In Baturité (CE) is the monastery of the Jesuits, a construction of stones and mud from the 19th century. The work, however, was never completed. For the original project, it should have twice the size. The chapel of the monastery is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The statue of three meters at the altar was brought from Spain. The chapel also boasts an illustration of the crossing of the Jesuits from Portugal to Brazil.
